The nose is lightly fruity – peaches, stewed berries, malt, sherry aromas, and some strange farmy aromas I don’t love. Vanilla, light malt, rolled oats, dried corn, figs, tomato salsa. Light brown sugar. The palate is fairly malty, with a touch of earthy barley before some vanilla, tannin, and dried fruits come through. Better on the palate than the nose. A white wine floral character. Finishes with sherry, light rancio, nuts, orgeat, cinnamon, burnt match, and clove. Dry.

Based on the nose alone, I didn’t expect something quite this nice – but it did well! If the nose were more alive this might be up a few marks.

Value: Low, at $87 - you can do better for the price.
