The nose is very clean, rich, and refined – spicy agave, black pepper, green chile, and deep vegetal notes. There is light citrus peel too – it’s no wonder that this pairs so well with lime juice.

There isn’t too much “funk” here – it’s a very clean, yet deep style. The palate is light, leading with light sweetness before a big agave hit, and black pepper which quickly fades into a very light, clean finish. There is a light oiliness which I like.

It’s no wonder this is such a hit with so many – it’s clean, refined, and rather pure. Not too much savoury/vegetal characters with many of the other tequilas. It’s not cheap, but it makes for a terrific mixing tequila which is what I do if I get it as a stocking stuffer.

Assessment: Highly Recommended.

Value: low. There are some great white tequilas available for less. A lot of those are more funky, which I find more interesting.
